Welcome to the Conference Witness Ministry
Team page…
The Witness Ministry
Team is the "W" of the "NOW" connectional ministry teams. It is unique in
that it corresponds to two boards - the Board of Church and Society and
the Board of Discipleship. The Witness Team has the responsibility for
conference ministries related to church and society, peace with justice,
evangelism and spiritual formation.
The Witness Ministry Team
leader is Ruth Walton, a retired diaconal minister and member of Salem First UMC. Her main responsibilities are
developing the agenda for the semi-annual meeting of the Witness Ministry Team
and representing the team at the Connectional Ministries Table. Contact
Ruth
Walton for general information about church and society ministries and
evangelism.
Kathy
Campbell-Barton, a lay member of the Morningside UMC in Salem, is the conference
Peace with Justice coordinator. Follow
the links for current information about Peace with Justice, including grants
from the Peace with Justice Fund and the Peace with Justice Covenant
Congregation designation. Contact Kathy
Campbell-Barton directly with
specific questions or requests.
Rev. Bill

Ministry Team called the Community Based
Organizing facilitator. Rev.
