A Trip Home -- December 29, 2007
By Beth Blodgett, missionary to Honduras

Dear Friends,

We have made the reservations! Autumn will be here with Prairie, so it looks like I will actually come to visit. Autumn, for those who don't know her, is Prairie's younger sister.

I'll leave here on Tuesday, Feb., 5, arriving at my mother's house in Wisconsin in the wee hours of the morning of Wed., Feb. 6. I will be in the Wisconsin/MN area for about two weeks before going to Portland by train. The exact dates have not been set. I'll be in the Portland area 3-4 weeks, leaving Portland on Tuesday, March 18 (a night flight) to arrive back in Honduras on Wednesday, March 19.

Autumn will come about two weeks before I leave. That gives her a chance to learn the ropes with both Prairie and me to help. I am very grateful that she will be coming. Autumn will be flying home the same day that I arrive here. That gives us just one trip to the airport in San Pedro Sula. Sometimes, we can be efficient.

We are in El Pino today. Our time in Ceibita was very nice. We are learning that New Year's Eve is more of a holiday (even a church holiday) than Christmas Eve (which is more of a holiday than Christmas Day). We are planning on going back to Limon on Monday. But there might not be buses. This could get interesting. But we have said that we would work in the clinic on Wednesday, Jan. 2. We'll let you know.

I have not started filling my calendar for my trip time. Send me an email if there is something you want of me during that time.

No inspiration for writing today, so I won't bore you with any more bad prose.

be well,
beth
