The purpose of the Metropolitan District Church Extension Society(MDCES) is to give aid, both spiritual and financial, to churches where need exists, to assist in acquiring real and personal property, for the erection of  buildings for church purposes, to assist churches in their altered environment, to secure and carry out the terms of endowments for the use of MDCES, to cooperate with other denominations in all kinds of work for the betterment of humanity, to make donations(grants) and loans to churches and kindred organizations to further the carrying on of the work of the United Methodist Church and related organizations within the boundaries of the Metropolitan District of the Oregon-Idaho Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church.
