What Our Units are Doing

We have an ongoing mission to provide hygiene kits to the locals schools via one of the counselor's who works exclusively with our needier school population. We provide toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorants, razors, shaving lotions, female hygiene products, socks.
In addition, this year we contacted this counselor for a list of names of children (anonymous surnames) who could use some assistance over the Christmas season. A list that each name submitted with their requests and sizes was given to UMW. We split up the names and purchased gifts for 15 children, plus a family of 6.
Next year, we have plans to begin the Christmas list early and place the names on our Church tree , calling it our community tree, allowing anyone who is interested to take a name off the tree and provide a gift.
