Crossroads UMC:
Stepping Way Out on Faith

Even before the new pastor arrived last July, something bold was taking root near Kimberly, Idaho.Like many older, declining congregations,members were facing the possibility that the church that had existed for nearly 100 years might have to close its doors.

That’s not how things stood when The Rev. Robyn Morrison began her first pastoral appointment at Crossroads UMC on Jul. 1.

The church was engaged in building a new ministry in the Magic Valley of Idaho — an area of south-central Idaho near the Snake River. Now some more magic seems afoot that will take all of the congregation’s and Morrison’s faith. It will challenge her leadership ability and her unique background in finance and business development.
